PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY
Portrait photography is as old as the medium itself, dating back to the mid-19th century. The art of portraiture has always been a mainstay of photography precisely because it accomplishes two things that we all fundamentally value: (1) the revelation of our precious individuality and (2) the affirmation of the very fact of our existence. Naturally, each of us enjoys seeing the beauty of the world that surrounds us. But we all want to be seen, as well. Portraiture calls attention to us as individuals and announces with stunning immediacy that, “Yes, we are here, we exist, and we matter!”
I believe that a portrait is a means to showcase and celebrate beauty, style, and elegance. Having said that, I also believe that portraiture done right can do far more than display the grace of a person’s appearance. In my decade of experience as a professional photographer, I have learned that portraits can illuminate and reveal
the personality, identity, and attitude of the individual in front of the camera. We are, after all, more than just bodies. We have values, thoughts, talents, dreams, and goals, all of which constitute an identity and life that is uniquely ours.
My aim during every photo shoot is to create a series of comprehensive portraits that both celebrate the external beauty of an individual and reveal the charm and grace that they carry within themselves. I have more than 10 years of experience photographing individuals, couples, and families right here in Prague, and I have the versatility to shoot in a variety of styles. My work ranges from business portraits for company websites and CVs to casual portraits in various settings. I am also a practitioner of lifestyle photography, an alternative approach to portraiture that focuses on an individual's particular talents and unique personality traits.

If you want, we can tailor the photo shoot so that you may have a package that includes both casual and formal pictures. It is always a good idea to have a set of high-quality, formal images of yourself which can be used for work or business-related purposes, such as promoting a LinkedIn profile or enhancing a CV.
At the risk of stating the obvious, I will point out that a high-quality portrait is anything but a simple head shot. The package that I will deliver to you will contain an assortment of photos, some of which will feature your upper body and others your full body. In order to ensure that we capture images of the highest quality I will clearly demonstrate how you can comfortably pose and gracefully carry yourself in front of the camera. Throughout the shoot we will never lose sight of our principal goal: to optimize the beauty of your look, your attitude, and your demeanor.
